Field + Technology

Most companies use AI to replace experience. We built ours to back it up.

Technology sets our pace. Experience sets our standard.

Meet Atlas

Atlas carried the world. Ours carries every job, start to finish.

He carries the busywork. Our people carry the build.

A lot of this industry is using AI to hurry the work along, to do the fielder's job for them and get the package out the door faster. We went the other direction. Atlas is J2's own AI, Automated TeleDesigns Logic and Support, built to give our fielders and engineers the best tool ever made for doing their jobs right.

This is not a web-based AI. There is no account on someone else's platform and no outside connection to reach him through. Atlas runs local by default on J2's own secured servers, and that is the only place your project data lives. He doesn't replace our people. He makes sure nothing slips past them.

Talk to Atlas, any time

Ask Atlas where any job or permit stands and get the answer in real time. Pull any document. Get updates day or night. No waiting on a callback.

POC scheduling, handled

For BAU contracts, Atlas contacts your customers and books the appointments. When a POC doesn't answer, you know in real time. Nobody chases voicemails.

Every package QC'd

Permits, make-ready, BOMs, pole-loading data, GIS and KMZ. Atlas checks them all against NESC and client specs. Routine errors get caught early. Senior review signs off on everything.

Every clock watched

Every permit in every jurisdiction. Every application deadline. Every 811 ticket expiration. Tracked, watched, and never on a sticky note.

The map matches the BOM

Cable counts, splice points, and footages get cross-checked between the design and the materials list. Nothing ships until the map and the BOM agree.

Standards, cited

Atlas holds NESC, BICSI, and SCTE. Ask a standards question, get an answer with the source named.

No job sits quietly

When work stalls, Atlas flags it. When a deadline drifts toward risk, he says so early. Problems surface while there's still time to fix them.

Deliverables, done right

Every document versioned. Every redline tracked. Final packages assembled in your required format, combined and clean. The right revision goes out, every time.

How we run technology

Four rules that don't move.

RULE 01

People lead.

Experienced people stay responsible for every deliverable that leaves J2.

RULE 02

Technology supports.

Atlas and our tools exist to kill repetitive work, catch errors early, and keep every job visible.

RULE 03

Your rules govern.

Technology gets applied to your project based on your requirements and your information sensitivity, not our convenience. And if you'd rather AI never touch your project at all, say the word. Atlas sits out, your job runs the traditional way, and nothing about our quality changes.

RULE 04

Nothing leaves our hardware.

Atlas is self-hosted and local by default. Your project data doesn't ride on anyone else's cloud.

J2 Tracker

You always know where your job stands.

Every job at J2 runs through J2 Tracker, our job tracking and automation system. It assigns the work, tracks every milestone against the schedule, and runs the automations that keep clients updated without anyone having to chase a status. You always know where your job stands, because the system tells you before you ask.

// Job feed LIVE
Two jobs that prove it

Two jobs. One lesson: people plus systems win.

// Judgment

The downtown nobody could permit.

A large build spanning two counties came to us after being kicked back twice. The chokepoint was a downtown where three power companies converge, and every package before ours had tried to force that convergence aerial through some of the worst pole loading conditions there are. No software fixes that. We sat down with the municipalities, met with the power companies, and engineered it the way it should have been done the first time: aerial where aerial made sense, with creative underground and drop work where the three utilities came together. The package cleared, the schedule recovered, and that job earned us a new long-term partner.

// Horsepower

84 projects. 1,681 permits.

A client was handed 84 projects at once, and permitting outran their tracking until 1,681 permits were scattered across a spreadsheet with more than seventy tabs. We built them a new tracking system, then put Atlas through every document they had. Every approval found. Every permit's status recovered. The projects came back from the edge.

Some jobs get heavy. We were built to carry them.
Mobilization

We come to the work.

J2 is not limited to a drive radius. Our teams fly, drive, and move in wherever the project is, with on-site project management available anywhere the build needs it. If the work matters, the distance doesn't.
